Guru Geri in Qatar

In May 2008 I received another order from the gtz for organic farming consulting in Saudi Arabia. I was able to make a day stopover in Qatar. I drove with a rental car to Doha. The city is unspectacular, only new buildings and construction cranes. It was also hot and humid. Not my taste. I'm sure I make an effort to look modern and rich, but I'm less impressed. Women don't seem to be as imprisoned here as in KSA, because some of them walked around the promenade with bare arms (European women). Otherwise the black burka is to be seen much. Shopping malls everywhere, boring.
